Overview

############################### DBAuth 1.0 ##############################

DBAuth is a MySQL database driven user authentication system. It
supports multiple users, optional self-registration, password reset,
and password change functions. Any webpage can be protected by pasting
one line of code at the top of the page.

- PHP 4
- MySQL 4+
- sendmail

// Installation Instructions //

1. Edit the variables in the dbauth.php file.

2. Create your MySQL database. It will be auto-populated when you run the
script.

3. Upload the dbauth.php file to your webserver.

4. Paste the following code on the first line of the web page you would
like to protect: <? require("dbauth.php"); ?>

5. If the extension on your webpage is not .php, change the extension to
.php. Example: Rename homepage.htm to homepage.php

5. Visit the webpage and create your first account. You must use a valid
email address to activate the account.

6. Check your email for the activation URL.

7. Visit the activation URL to finalize your account creation.

That should be it. You now have a password protected webpage.
